City Capital Improvements Plan Survey Results

The City just released the results of its Capital Improvements Plan Survey. It's worth reading. The results of the polls show that most people are pretty satisfied with Ann Arbor in general. The comments tell a different story:

(Many) Residents are hella-pissed about the loss of street leaf collection and Christmas tree pickup. I say, if you have the ability buy a tree and get it into your house, you have the ability to dispose of it as well. Also, #22 up there hates parks. I assume they also hate fun, and joy and America too.

A lot of the comments were positive, though. It was nice to see people expressing their happiness with their community.

These were my favorite comments. They were in response to the question "When thinking about MUNICIPAL facilities and services that exist, or are needed, do you think spending is: Too Little, About Right, Too Much, Don't Know." Such honesty is refreshing.

  1. Hah! I wrote that last comment you highlighted because I'd checked "don't know" on the last 10 or so questions. Incidentally, I only filled out the survey in the first place because I read the post here about it.

  2. Wow. Everything comes full circle. I tried to find my comments, but I couldn't.
