There's some turnover happening in the Nickels Arcade, as Ionnia, which sold jewelry and other accoutrements, is closing at the end of the month. Another boutique, named "Wendy" (I assume after the proprietress), opened earlier this year. Some of the businesses in the Arcade seem to be doing quite well - the Arcadian apparently has been open since before I was born - but I'm curious as to what might be a good fit for the open spot. Coffee, shoes, menswear, and barbershop are all taken, but maybe some other establishment might work? For one, I dream of the Pastry Peddler moving up from the undergraduate ghetto... but that's probably not going to happen, sadly.
