Antiquarian Book Fair tomorrow

The 38th Annual Ann Arbor Antiquarian Book Fair is tomorrow in the Ballroom of the Michigan Union. It is co-hosted by Jay Platt of West Side Book Shop and Garrett Scott, Bookseller of Larrytown Fame. Cover is just $5 and it benefits William L. Clements Library at the University of Michigan. From the press release:

In one room for one day you will find one of the best book shops in the Midwest: antiquarian booksellers from across the country offering everything from sixteenth century books to 1960s radical posters, or literature ranging from shining leather-bound sets to classic children’s literature to Beat poets. You can also get your hands on manuscripts and autographs, old photographs, maps, and prints.
Here's the real question: will there be occult books?

YPT's Tarzan this weekend at the Power Center

Here's a controversial statement: I like the soundtrack to Tarzan better than the soundtrack to the Lion King. Case closed1.

Gentle readers, this weekend Young People's Theater's production of Disney's Tarzan is playing at the Power Center. I'm biased, because EJ choreographed it, but you should totally see it. The music is all by Phil Collins, so you know it's great. The set and costumes are outstanding. In fact, everyone who has been working on the show, from the kids to the directorial team has done an incredible job. I know it will be awesome. Tickets are just $15 and $10 for children, students and seniors. You can buy them here. Performances are at the following times:

Friday, May 20, 2016 7:00pm
Saturday, May 21, 2016 1:00pm
Saturday, May 21, 2016 7:00pm
Sunday, May 22, 2016 2:00pm
