"Jig Saw" opens tonight at
Riverside Arts Center. Written in 1934 by Dawn Powell and produced locally by
Petie the Dog Productions,
"Jig Saw" is the story of Clair Burnell, a charming but bored divorcee in New York City. A romantic tangle involves potential interest Nathan Gifford, Claire's own daughter Julie, Claire's boyfriend Del, and a peanut-gallery cast of characters in Claire's apartment building.
Thursdays are pay-what-you-can. The show plays December 5-7 and 12-15 at 8 p.m., and there is a 2 p.m. production on Sunday, December 8, with special guests Tim Page, Powell's biographer, and Carol Warstler, Powell's niece.
