Food carts are coming

And I'm hella excited.

You've probably heard murmur of Mark's Carts, the food cart emporium that will be opening behind Downtown Home and Garden at the end of April. If you haven't, this is your chance to get as excited about it as I am.

Food carts are awesome. They offer a wide range of fast, delicious food options. At this point, 6 different carts have signed up and they are hoping to get 4 more.

The Lunch Room looks particularly cool. They are offering a yummy line of vegan cuisine. They are currently raising funds for their cart on Kickstarter. If you donate to support them, you can get a cookie or sandwich. Check out their video below:

It would be remiss of me to neglect to mention some of the other delicious carts that will be part of the Mark's Carts experience. eat features locally sourced food. Debajo del Sol will be slinging tapas and paella. Humble Hogs is going to be serving up delicious hoagies among other things.

The only thing I'm worried about is how long it will take me to try all the tasty options Mark's Carts will offer.

Update (8:00 PM): I just checked The Lunch Room's Kickstarter and they have surpassed their goal! Congratulations guys.

  2. Oh and the Lunch Room is 95% of the way to their goal with two weeks to go. C'mon everyone, throw in a few bucks because they get nothing unless they cross the 100% funded mark!

  4. eat is run by my friend, and Community High grad, Helen Harding. They'd be great for a local business feature article.

  5. What about Darcy's Cart??? Their ingredients are almost completely locally sourced, AND they have the best breakfast burritos east of CA. On that note, they also have the best carnitas tacos east of CA.
