Crows exploiting urban heat island this winter

Maybe you have noticed these crows (Corvus brachyrhynchos):

They come into Ann Arbor in the winter from the surrounding area because it's warmer here. Ann Arbor's winter crow population ranges from 1437-29000 depending on the year. In high years, it can be one of the ten largest populations in the country. Amazing! Ed Vielmetti has some great information about our crows here.
