Albert Kahn tour of Campus

Michigan Exposures may be obsessed with architect Albert Kahn. But that's cool because it means we get to see great pictures of awesome architecture.

Recently they documented several Albert Kahn buildings on U of M's Campus. Including:

West Engineering Building

Natural History Museum

The C.C. Little Building

Randall Laboratory

The Harlan Hatcher Library

Horace Rackham School of Graduate Studies

The Burton Memorial Tower

Hill Auditorium

Angell Hall

As always, the pictures are accompanied by the history of all the buildings.

  1. It's not really an obsession per se, it's more like a fascination or interest. I never realized that there was such a prominent architect that lived in Michigan most of his life. He many not have the recognition that Frank Lloyd Wright has but I would say he may have been as influential (especially with building methods). Plus it's kind of hard to not get pictures of his buildings.

Same as last time, thank you for posting my pictures here.
