Canoeing the Huron
Despite running through some of Michigan's most populous counties, the Huron River has remained relatively unpolluted. According to the Huron River Watershed Council, the Huron is the cleanest urban river in Michigan. I think it would be a really great adventure to canoe the Huron's entire 200 km starting from the headwaters in Oakland County to its delta just down stream of Flat Rock. According to this map, it would only take about 40 hours of canoeing. Who's in?

40 hours of canoeing and another 40 hours lugging your canoe around dams.
