Who knew Saline was such a bastion of progressive wedding cake toppers? This picture comes from Sandy Bledsoe, who has begun to doubt the cake toppers were made by Baker's Nook:
The more I think about it, the more I start to wonder: what's more likely? That 4 middle-aged ladies in Saline deliberately set up a gay interracial cake topper? Or that someone like me came in and saw them on the shelf and subverted the original (heteronormative) display. I think the latter is easier to believe, but still, it was definitely refreshing to see.
Personally, I want to believe.
I love Sandy. You should do more posts about him.
