It's beginning to look a lot like ...

Saw some folks unloading Christmas trees at the Produce Station last night. A nice mix of white fir (Abies concolor) and noble fir (A. procera). Both make excellent Christmas trees and are on Damn Arbor's official list of approved Christmas tree list.

  4. If you think about Christmas from the trees' perspective — as a barbaric annual culling when humans abduct the most beautiful individuals, shackle them, and sell them to people who will ultimately discard them and leave them to die — this picture is incredibly disturbing.
