The end of Blimpy Burger?

Gentle Readers, it is with a heavy heart that I share the following news with you: Krazy Jim's Blimpy Burger will be closing its current location at the end of August. (According to the above Twitter conversation.) It appears that U of M has dropped the ol' proverbial horse head in Krazy Jim's bed. Hopefully the restaurant will be able to relocate. Still, I will miss its current location.

  1. My First Blimpy was in the mid 1960s, Jim and Ruby ran the counter. Later in the '70s Davey kept the place running and Jim was there a lot. The taste today is true to the original. I'm going to get a quad cheese on onion + small mixed fried veggies as soon as I can.

The view of the old west side from the front window is priceless.

  2. If by "horse head" you mean "fat stacks of cash."

  3. The owner of the business got no fat stacks of cash.
The owner of the building did, though.
