More prototype cars

Does anyone know why they put those weird patterns on the prototype cars? Is it so that when they are in a pack, the lions have trouble hunting them?

  1. It's so competitors have trouble taking a picture of the design according to some GM engineers I have talked too. But I don't know what design features would come from a door.

  2. Car manufacturers need to road-test their vehicles, but they don't want to expose the design to the public and car journalists. The weird patterns help hide the curvatures and other design details.

  3. The wierd patterns are called dazzle flage. Based on a World War I camoflage pattern that makes things less recognizable. The patterns continued into World War II.

  4. I'd like to paint my car in dazzle some year (to hide the dirt and the dents).

  5. I call them "cow cars" (because sometimes the pattern looks like Holstein spots) or "stealth cars" (because sometimes they're wrapped in black). I live in Chelsea and see these frequently because of our proximity to the Chrysler Proving Grounds.

  6. All right, that You have told that is great point which make up, Usually I have little know about this but I known to you more detail about this information. So, Car manufacturers need to road-test their vehicles, which will be very helpful for me.
