In bloom: tulip tree

The tulip trees (Liriodendron tulipifera) are blooming. Named for their distinctive tulip-shaped flowers, these trees are actually members of the magnolia family. There are a couple of nice tulip trees in West Park and a beautiful grove in the Arb.
