Nina Davuluri is Miss America 2014

Former U of M student, and my old chem lab partner, Nina Davuluri was crowned Miss America 2014 tonight. I didn't watch the pageant but supposedly she performed a killer Bollywood dance. Her platform is based on cultural diversity, and she is the first Indian-American Miss America. Life seems much better for her now than when we were struggling to finish lab pages.

      I can tell you all about how she always loved to go to the third floor of UGLI. She totally deserves this honor because she's super smart/driven and Miss America needs that, but the UGLI?
