U of M launching free shuttle to Detroit
The University Record is reporting that U of M's Detroit Center will begin a free shuttle service between Ann Arbor and various stops in Detroit. So far, the tentative schedule only has service on Friday and Saturday. On the bright side, there is Saturday service to Eastern Market. It's pretty great to see expanding transit options for travel between Ann Arbor and Detroit. So long 6:16 Amtrak 352 Wolverine with continuing service to Dearborn, Detroit, Royal Oak, Birmingham, and Pontiac.

It would be great to see expanding transit options that include members of the community which the U so lavishly rests atop. I wonder if the bus stop will be on Main Street, requiring (because of terrorism) the permanent closing of the road to all regular traffic.
ReplyDeleteDoes this mean Friday nights in Detroit?!?!?!?!
ReplyDeleteAt some point the commuter train is supposed to be ready....
ReplyDeleteWhich is cool because trains rock!
I hope we get the train soon.
ReplyDeleteYou could tour the train at the Green Fest that was held downtown. A certain blog has pictures of it.
