In case you missed this news from Wednesday's DDA meeting, they've shelved the ambassador project for now (link is to MLive, with a more thorough article).
But there are still downtown neighborhood associations (the South University Area Association and if I recall correctly the State Street Area Association) pushing for a similar program, so we should keep paying attention, and we should keep providing feedback to the DDA.
