Detroit from Wired.com |
Ann Arbor and Ypsilanti |
Wired.com recently posted beautiful maps illustrating racial segregation in America's cities. The map was created by extrapolating data from the 2010 census. The result is a portrait of Detroit that mimics a Rothko painting. Blue indicates white people while green dots are African Americans. Red, prominent in the north east side of Ann Arbor, are Asians while Orange shows Latinos and Brown are any other races. There is an interactive map available here.
