Too bad those bike lanes can be no more than painting a new line in an already narrow and busy traffic lane (see for example the stretch of Stadium between Pauline an Maple).
It'd be nice to see the city step up and make some real changes instead of just paying lip service.
I have mixed feelings about the sharrows. I feel like they have a positive impact in downtown at least, but that might be because traffic speeds tend to be slow already. It would be nice to have a more interconnected network of bicycle paths, lanes, etc. where it is convenient to ride and where it feels safe.
How about a review of "My Winnepeg"? I believe you will find it to be a very exciting and educational tale.
