Fraser's Pub

As an Ann Arbor resident for nearly two decades, I'm embarrassed to admit that until last week, I had not been to Fraser's Pub. I'm glad I finally took the time to check it out. Fraser's is pretty decent neighborhood pub with decent food and a respectable selection of beers. Definitely worth the trip.

On a side note the bimodal distribution of Fraser's Yelp reviews is interesting. Looks like you either love it, or think it's really middle of the road:

  1. Craft beer raises all boats! Check out this interview Dave Bardallis had with Timmy Donahue who runs Fraser’s: http://www.annarborbeer.com/2011/06/not-your-fathers-frasers-old-school-ann.html

    "Your beer sales are up?

Oh, definitely: 258% over the last year."

Switching from bland American macro taps to high quality Michigan craft beer and sales, profits, and ratings go up? Color me oh so surprised! ;)

  2. The beer is fine and the food is also of a decent standard for bar food but the service is as horrible as it comes-- inexperienced college girls who chat with each other nearly constantly-studying and texting and ignoring the most important thing-CUSTOMERS

  3. Bad service-mostly useless waitstaff behind the bar

  4. But there's something beyond the bad service. It's one of Ann Arbor only true neighborhood bars and there is something to be said for the sense of community there.
