Can you find the Action News van?The US Court of Appeals for the Sixth Circuit has just struck down Michigan's ban on affirmative action. In a 2-to-1 ruling, the judges said the ban imposed by Proposal 2 "unconstitutionally alters Michigan’s political structure by impermissibly burdening racial minorities.”
On a side note, the WXYZ 7's reporter on the Diag is having trouble finding a "person on the street" who is anti-affirmative action to interview. If you are anti-affirmative action and would like to be interviewed for the evening news, now is your chance to shine.
