The Lake Effect

The Atlantic has an interesting article about the possibility of revitalizing the Great Lakes region by focusing on the Lakes themselves. A proposal entitled the Great Lakes Century, headed by a director from the design firm Skidmore Owings & Merrill, specifically highlights improving water quality as an economic stimulator.
